Jennifer Grotz

Jennifer Grotz is the author of Window Left Open (Graywolf Press, 2016); The Needle (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2011), and Cusp (Mariner Books, 2003). Her most recent book, Still Falling, will be published by Graywolf Press in May 2023. Also a translator from the French and Polish, her newest translation is Everything I Don't Know, the selected poems of Jerzy Ficowski, co-translated from the Polish with Piotr Sommer (World Poetry, 2021). In 2017, she was named the seventh director of the Middlebury Bread Loaf Writers' Conferences. She is the first woman to lead the program since its founding in 1926.

 A 2021 Civitella Ranieri Foundation Fellow, she is professor of English at the University of Rochester.
