Rivka Galchen

Rivka Galchen is the author of four books: Atmospheric Disturbances (FSG, 2008), American Innovations (FSG, 2014), Little Labors (New Directions, 2016), and, most recently, Everyone Knows Your Mother Is A Witch (FSG, 2021). In 2010, she was named to The New Yorker's list of 20 Writers Under 40. She is now a regular contributor of fiction, journalism and essays to The New Yorker, Harper's, The London Review of Books, and The New York Times. She has received numerous prizes and fellowships, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Berlin Prize, and a Fellowship at the Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers. Her chapter book for children, Rat Rule 79, was published by Restless Books in 2019.
