Lan Samantha Chang

Lan Samantha Chang's most recent novel, The Family Chao (W.W. Norton 2022), was a winner of an Anisfield-Wolf Book Award for Fiction. She is the author of three previous works of fiction including, All is Forgotten, Nothing Is Lost (W.W. Norton, 2010) and Hunger. She's received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Guggenheim Foundation, MacDowell, and the American Academy in Berlin. She lives in Iowa City, Iowa, where she teaches at and directs the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
